When the nom noms hit

Snacking and just eating in general make me so happy. It was something that was weaponized against me for a long time. Thankfully I have made progress with healing my relationship with food. Today I had a vegan kolache (Texas style mentioned here) and it could be considered a snack but also maybe a meal. I would have many more if I could, but we’re watching our spending right now.

My go to snacks right now are spicy chips. Takis and Jalapeno flavored potato chips are soooo good. Zapps has their New Orleans Kettle Jalapeno chips that are so delicious, not that greasy, and deliver a nice kick to your taste buds. Those would be so good.. maybe I should get some at the store today. Hm, we’ll see.

Fries would also be super delicious right now. At this point, I think I’m just hungry in general. I had my water this morning and changed to decaf starting today to assist in weaning myself off of caffeine while still enjoy the flavors that make me happy. I have only a small amount of salsa left in my fridge because after I got home from the store with my small grocery run I ate plain tortillas with the salsa instead of tortilla chips. Now I want tortillas. I think I still have some in my fridge?

You know what else would be good right now? Garlic bread. Please know that I mean vegan garlic bread since I am vegan. But French bread, with some butter, Italian herb mix, nutritional yeast, and garlic powder, is phenomenal and easily eaten on it’s own. Sourdough is my favorite bread, but for garlic bread I have to use French bread.

I’m curious what y’all like snacking on or if you have any recommendations!
